Tottori College of Nursing Red Cross Student Service Team & Red Cross Mongolia Branch Exchange
[ Japanese|English ]
On November 20, 14 second-year students from the Tottori College of Nursing's Red Cross Student Volunteer Team interacted with three members of the Mongolian branch of the Red Cross. Due to the classes, only 14 students participated in person, but more than 30 students were involved in the preparations. On the day of the event, two junior high and high school students came to Japan along with the head of the Mongolian Red Cross branch, and after exchanging greetings with President Arai and the head of the Mongolian branch in the exchange hall, they took a commemorative photo in front of the cypress, which is the symbol tree of the Red Cross.

After that, using the pamphlets created by the students, we guided them to corporate facilities, introduced each other's activities, and trained in first aid together .I learned about the differences in activities and methods in each country.

In addition, during the study, we deepened our exchanges by talking about our hobbies and introducing each other's countries. Therefore, after the exchange, the students said, "I thought I would be in trouble if I didn't understand the language, but it wasn't," and "I learned that the same things are popular in Mongolia and Japan, and that what Japan people thought was the same is actually different." "I also learned the good things about Japan," "I would like to continue to take inspiration from the activities of the Young Red Cross volunteers in other countries and provide support in my own area that only we can do." Many comments were heard, from frank feelings to strong determination.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the members of the group will do in the future.
