Global MACHINOHOKENNSITU First Held at Tottori City Welfare Center for the Elderly

At the invitation of the Tottori International Foundation, on Sunday, October 29, we participated in the "Japanese Class" held every Sunday and held a global MACHINOHOKENNSITU（Local Health Class ）.
On the day of the event, 8 students, 5 volunteers, 2 lecturers, 8 second-year students of our university, and 2 faculty members held the event in a calm atmosphere.
Many of the participants were enthusiastic and cheerful, and the lecturer's lecture in the first half asked about Japanese posters and content about health, but they enjoyed learning while communicating in both directions. They came from Vietnam, the Philippines, the United States, and many other places, but I could see that they cared about their health in Japan culture.
In the second half, the students gave a mini-lecture on blood pressure in front of everyone. After the lecture, the participants asked a number of questions, and it was clear that they had a high level of interest in health and various thoughts about their lives.
After that, there was communication between students and participants and blood pressure measurement for those who wished, and it was impressive to see that many students wanted to have their blood pressure measured, and the students took measurements using what they had learned in their regular lectures and practical training, and communicated with a smile after the measurement. We were able to end the meeting with an atmosphere where everyone who participated in this meeting was able to share a good time.
It was also a great benefit to be able to experience cross-cultural exchange, as the students who participated in the event commented that they were very fun.
This was the first time it was held this year, but we would like to hold it again next year.
